We went to Parasol's with some friends and they said, without a doubt, that the roast beef and firecracker shrimp po-boys were the best. They also said we should try the Irish sundae, but more on that later.
Patrick got the burger and it was good, but not great. Frankly, I blame him because who orders a burger at a po-boy place.
I went with the roast beef po-boy and it was a fabulous decision. From the crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside bread to the shredded roast beef covered soaked in gravy. It was dressed with mayo, pickles, and tomatoes.
We split an Irish sundae, which is potato salad, topped with roast beef drippings and a horseradish cream on top. It was totally unique. The potato salad and roast beef blended better than I thought they would, but I wish the horseradish would have had a bit more kick.
Overall, a good, sloppy roast beef po-boy. We'll have to try some more to be able to give you the best recommendation for a roast beef po-boy (seafood's a whole different type of animal). No food porn, because I didn't want to embarrass my friends, but next time.....
