New Orleans Eats:Ancora

We started off our New Orleans date night journey mostly in one section of Uptown, but we're starting to spread out a little bit.  It all started with Company Burger and we continued our Freret Street love with Ancora.

We started out with their daily bruschetta with porcini mushrooms and salty mozzerella (they told us the type but I can't remember).  It was simple and tasty, especially if you added a little bit of chili oil.

We decided on an Italian sausage pizza and it was divine.  This is the kind of pizza I love.  Fresh from the oven with a rustic crust and a small amount of sauce and cheese, you could actually taste everything.  Ancora obviously uses quality ingredients and it's very noticable.  Seriously, Nola friends, if you want authentic Italian pizza, go here.  It reminds me of the pizza from Venice.  It's that good.

Nothing on the dessert menu piqued our interest, so we headed home after this tasty dinner.  We can't wait to come back for more delicious pizza and other treats.
